Important Safety Notice for Wholesalers
Recall of Hager 10kA Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB)
Dear Valued Customer,
We are contacting you to inform you that in our internal quality process control a raw material non-conformity has been detected.
This raw material non-conformity could affect the correct functioning of Hager 10kA MCB with references as indicated in Appendix CP1 (see below) produced between 7th July 2016 and 25th September 2016.
Based on our investigations, this non-conformity could lead to a potential MCB malfunction which may cause fire or electrical shock danger.
For this reason, on the basis of the Precautionary Principle and user safety, we have made the decision to recall Hager 10kA MCB references concerned (Listed in Appendix CP1, see below).
To ensure maximum effectiveness of the operation and to prevent or, at least, minimise danger and risk to users and installers, your full support and cooperation is absolutely essential.
With immediate effect upon receiving this letter, we kindly request that you:
1. Stop sales of the Hager 10kA MCB references concerned (Listed in Appendix CP1).
2. Isolate the Hager 10kA MCB references concerned (Listed in Appendix CP1, see below) and withdraw them from your stocks.
3. Complete the Wholesaler Statement (download form here) (DOC, 1,3 MB) & return the Hager 10kA MCB references concerned (Listed in Appendix CP1, see below) to our company at our expense with the help of our recall team.
4. Identify and send us the full postal addresses (form attached to Wholesaler Statement) of all known customers who have purchased the Hager 10kA MCB references concerned (Listed in Appendix CP1, see below) from you between 7th July 2016 and 6th October 2016.
During this process Hager Ireland is determined to maintain our high standard of customer service. To ensure this we have appointed Tom Weafer (Technical Manager) to manage the replacement process and lead our recall team.
