'Navigation Square 1' is the first phase of a 4 building office development located in the Cork City Docklands. It is a 7 storey building over 2 storey basement with a prominent position along the River Lee. Visible as people arrive in to the city, the building is designed to reflect its maritime history and surrounding environment, creating a connection between past and present. An economically viable and highly sustainable Grade A development, the development will have a positive influence on its important urban setting, paving the way for the regeneration of the Cork City Docklands.
Navigation Square is the largest and most significant office development to be undertaken in Cork City’s commercial centre. Its four signature buildings offer 360,000 sq ft of fourth generation office space, designed to Gold LEED standards.
The development creates the ideal environment for global and indigenous companies to convert creative ideas into business opportunity. Once the fulcrum around which the city’s trading history was built, Navigation Square now makes a bold, ambitious statement that will grow Cork’s pre-eminence as a business and investment location.
Navigation Square comprises four new office blocks each of which is designed differently.
The external expression of the scheme as a whole is tied together through the treatment of each elevation. Facade and window systems are carefully considered to give clarity of form to each building and the scheme as a whole.

Hager’s Klik range is a solution for any lighting design scenario. The Klik offer allows for automatic lighting control that provides energy savings by not operating when there are sufficient light levels present. With a range of settings for daylight linked dimming, occupancy sensing and DALI control, Klik was an ideal lighting solution for the Navigation Square project.
