The Hager Media Hub

Today’s growing communications and information technology sector is seeing a dramatic increase in the amount of data being transferred in applications such as the Internet, telephone and television. This increase calls for constant improvement in data networking in the home.

1. VHF-UHF Antenna

The traditional TV broadcast is received via a roof aerial or from a Cable TV provider. This signal is routed to the Media Hub where a splitter multiplies the signal and re-distributes it to the various rooms.

2. Media Hub Enclosure

This is the centre of all cable connections. It can be positioned anywhere in the house or apartment, provided all Cat5e and Coax cables are run to this central hub.

3. RJ-45 Sockets

Each RJ45 outlet can be configured centrally for Phone/Fax, Internet or PC network application.

4. TV-Sockets

Most rooms are nowadays equipped with one or more TV points to allow for flexibility when use or layouts change.

The Hager Media Hub

This is the heart of the system, where the various signals for TV, broadband, telephone and home computer network are received, processed and re-distributed to the intended outlets around the house. It is up to the home owner to decide what type of use is required at each outlet.

Multimedia Home Network

The RJ45 standard allows for the creation of a Multimedia home network that offers security, ease of setup and high data transfer speeds. Many different devices can be connected to this network, including PC's, printers, baby monitors and game consoles. All network points are connected to each other via the Media Hub.
